Subscription Terms

These Subscription Terms form part of and should be read alongside our Terms of Service. They set out the specific rules governing billing, trials, and cancellation.

1. Free trial

Every new account receives a 7-day free trial. During your trial:

• You receive one story per evening at no charge
• No payment information is collected
• At the end of the trial, stories pause until you subscribe
• Your story archive remains accessible
• You can start the trial only once per email address

2. Plans and pricing

Founding Family Plan — £7.49/month
Available to the first 100 paying subscribers only. This rate is locked permanently for the lifetime of your continuous subscription. If you cancel and resubscribe, the founding rate is not guaranteed.

Standard Family Plan — £9.99/month
Available to all subscribers once founding spots are filled.

All prices include UK VAT where applicable. Payments are processed in GBP by Stripe.

3. Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance on the same date each month
• Your first charge occurs when your trial ends and you subscribe
• Payment is taken automatically from the card you provided at checkout
• You will receive an invoice from Stripe by email after each payment

4. Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe will retry automatically. Access to stories may be paused if payment remains outstanding after 7 days. We will email you to let you know and give you an opportunity to update your payment method.

5. Cancellation

• Cancel any time from Dashboard → Subscription
• Access continues to the end of your current billing period
• No partial-month refunds
• Cancellation takes effect immediately — you will not be charged again
• Your story archive remains accessible for 90 days after cancellation

6. Refunds

We do not offer routine refunds for monthly charges. If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us at support@moonlittales.co within 14 days and we will investigate.

7. Price changes

We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the Standard price. Founding plan subscribers are exempt from price increases while their subscription remains active and continuous.

8. Account deletion

If you delete your account, your subscription is cancelled immediately. No refund is issued for the remainder of the billing period.
